Partake

If you struggle to find tasty snacks that fit your dietary needs, the CEO and founder of Partake, Denise Woodard, created the perfect treats to satisfy your sweet tooth. Partake is a cookie company that is free of major food allergens. One of our favorites is the classic chocolate chip flavor, sure to cure all cravings. You can stock up on them in a Whole Foods store near you. Woodard created Partake when her daughter, Vivienne, was diagnosed with severe food allergies. Her family struggled to find safe and tasty food options, so Woodard took it upon herself to make her own. Now, Woodard is making an effort to forge a path for young Black entrepreneurs. Learn more about her mission here.

Mexican food is a fan favorite in most households, but most traditional Mexican dishes are heavy on grains that not everyone can eat. Siete Family Foods has the answer. As a teenager, co-founder and president of Siete Family Foods, Veronica Garza, was diagnosed with multiple autoimmune conditions that made it so she couldn’t eat many of her favorite Mexican foods. Then, she and her family came up with delicious alternatives that didn’t contain any inflammatory ingredients. You can find many of their versions of many Mexican classics at Whole Foods. Plan ahead for your next Taco Tuesday by shopping the Siete Family Foods line, like these Cassava & Coconut Amazing Grain-Free Tortillas.

For over 35 years, Sukhi Singh has brought Indian tradition from her kitchen to our tables. As a child, Singh learned to cook in her grandmother’s kitchen. After moving to the United States from India in 1985, she began cooking in a rented kitchen and selling her food at local farmer's markets. Her customers couldn’t get enough of her traditional cooking, and soon her business was booming. In 2005, her three children joined together to expand the business so Sukhi could share her Indian cooking with people around the world. We are proud to bring Sukhi’s meals, like these potato and pea samosas, to your home.
From on-the-go gluten-free cookies to quick and delicious Indian meals, Whole Foods strives to provide you with the best food from even better companies. We are proud of the entrepreneurs that put food on our shelves and on your table. Powerful women like Denise Woodard, Veronica Garza, and Sukhi Singh make our business run smoothly and successfully.
